Bailiffs and judicial officers

On site, just speak. Verba keeps your field notes.

Room-by-room observations, photos, statements: Verba turns them into ordered notes to prepare your report. The official document is still yours to write.

In France, huissiers de justice and commissaires-priseurs judiciaires merged into a single profession, commissaires de justice, on 1 July 2022.

In the field, today

01

Your hands are full

Camera, tape measure, floor plan: it’s hard to write while you observe.

02

Photos without captions

Back at the office, you have to match each photo to the room and the observation that goes with it.

03

Writing from scratch

Notes taken standing up have to be deciphered and put back in order before you can draft.

Your format, in one instruction

One instruction, and every summary follows your template.

Copy this text, then paste it into Verba, in Settings › Custom Instructions.

Write field notes: date, start and end times, address, people present and their capacity, then observations room by room in the order of the visit, statements in quotation marks attributed to the person who made them, the list of photos taken and points to check. Stay strictly descriptive, with no interpretation or conclusion.

Frequently asked questions

Do Verba’s notes count as an official report?

No. Only the document you issue has legal value. The recording, transcript, photos and summary are working drafts.

Huissier or commissaire de justice?

In France, since 1 July 2022, huissiers de justice and commissaires-priseurs judiciaires form a single profession: commissaires de justice. This page is for you whichever title you use.

Are photos linked to the visit?

Yes. Photos taken in Verba or imported are attached to the conversation, and Verba suggests the ones taken with the device during the recording. Text visible in the photos is recognized.

Do I need a connection on site?

Recording works without a connection, and so does on-device transcription once the language is available on the device (it may need a download the first time). Writing the summary needs a connection, to reach the model you chose.

Do my recordings leave my phone?

The audio stays on your devices and in your iCloud, and transcription happens on the device by default. To write the summary, the transcript text is sent to the model you chose: Mistral, a European model, by default, through the Verba API and OpenRouter, and Verba doesn’t store it. With your own key or your office’s server, it doesn’t go through Verba.
